#99-G45 ~ Galatians 2 Special
This video is a little interruption to our study of Galatians. Because of all the confusion about the means to salvation, I decided to do a special on the basics of salvation. God has done the work to provide it and our attainment is so simple, but misunderstood, or flat out unknown to so many people. People foolishly think they can “qualify” for salvation and the blessing of God by way of their own works of one kind or another.
There are many passages about all this, but Ephesians 2:8-9 is a classic for it. The author is the apostle Paul, the man God commissioned to be OUR apostle for our time. Salvation comes to people today by grace through faith alone. The object of one’s faith must be the Lord Jesus Christ. In particular, that means Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection as per I Corinthians 15:1-4. This video is about this and more. We even spend some time on Ephesians 2:10 where the subject of works comes into the picture. But what people tend to not understand about this is that works should come about as a RESULT of our salvation. It is not at all the MEANS of our salvation. Only the work of Christ can provide any of us with salvation. This video is a discussion of all this. I hope you find it helpful.
