#93-G39 ~ Galatians 2 and Acts 15

Gary Googe Dec 31

The Dispensation of which we are a part today is called the Dispensation of the Grace of God. This is a period of history that was introduced through the apostle Paul. Salvation now comes through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. What confusion there is today about this subject. I discuss this on this video.

We are looking at Galatians 2 and more in this study. But I begin on this video by talking about how salvation comes to us by simple faith in what God has provided. It is not of works of any kind. God’s plan for us today excludes the works of the Mosaic Law as a basis for it. Today, it is only through faith in the work of Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

One thing I talk about on this video is the fact that believers who understand the grace message of our time are few. In this passage, Paul makes it clear that HIS gospel was different from that of the Twelve Apostles. This subject of Paul’s gospel continues to be the theme of what we’re currently studying. I think you’ll find all this helpful as you learn of the transition that took place to bring us to where we are today in these things.

As a part of this study, we look at Acts 15 and the time when Paul first introduced his message to the Twelve apostles. There you’ll see the conflict that took place when Paul first introduced these things. I give special attention to verse twelve and things related.

I close this with some comments about what people get excited about. What things in life do YOU get excited about. Does the salvation of someone excite you? Shouldn’t it? Such events are the most important of life. People will show all kinds of emotions over other things, as though they had some truly great importance. But all this just serves to reveal the true priorities people have in life. What are yours?
