#83-G29 ~ Galatians 1:17 continued
We continue our study of showing that the gospels Paul and Peter preached were not the same. There’s contrast between the two. We have Paul’s gospel of the uncircumcision and Peter’s gospel of the circumcision. Various Bible translations of Galatians (particularly Galatians 2:7) don’t show this difference because apparently the translators didn’t understand this either. Their translations make these gospel as the same. They make it appear that Peter and Paul preached the same gospel, but that Peter went TO the circumcision and Paul went TO the uncircumcision with it. That’s not correct! Their messages were different.
Here we notice that there’s only one baptism associated with Paul’s gospel and the program we’re in today. That baptism is not water baptism, but the baptism of the Holy Spirit that takes place the moment someone is saved. God the Holy Spirit enters the believer into union with Christ, making him what is called a member of the body of Christ [I Corinthians 12:13].
