#76-G22 ~ Galatians 1:5-6a
In this study we take a look at Romans 16:27 and I Corinthians 10:31 where we see that it is God who gets all the credit for any and all blessing that comes our way. Man somehow tends to think that he can EARN the blessing of God. Such has never been the case. God’s blessing has always been an expression of His love and His grace. One of the most important basic truths to ever understand is that salvation is free, but it comes by our faith in the message God has provided.
In the case of the Galatians, it didn’t take them long to drift away from what the apostle Paul had taught them. We’ll preview Galatians 2:7-9 on this. In every generation, it is easy for people to get away from truth. That’s why it is so important for believers to be faithful as serious students of God’s word. The world has many distractions to such an effort. We must not allow ourselves to become victims of those temporal things that have no eternal value at all.
I close this lesson with a discussion about I Corinthians 15:1-4. Of all things, the most important message we have to offer anyone is the gospel of the grace of God that presents God’s way of salvation for people in our time.
