As I explain this passage, I begin with a look at II Corinthians 5:17-21. This is one of the most important passages of Scripture in all the Bible. It is a passage that points out that, whether they’re aware of it or not, ALL believers today are in “the ministry,” not just church pastors. As ambassadors for Christ, we are to represent Him. We serve as His mouthpiece in reaching other people with the Gospel message, that being the significance of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. This gospel message had been a mystery, that is, a secret hidden in the mind of God until it was revealed through the apostle Paul. We then look at Ephesians 3:1-10 and 6:17-19 where this principle is developed.
