#262-EP62 ~ Paul, what were Peter’s last written words about him?

Gary Googe Apr 25

In my last video, I ended with this passage— 2 Corinthians 12:11-12

We continue our study with the last words of Peter that for the most part have not been heeded by the church today. Peter’s last words were about Paul’s teaching— 2 Peter 3:15-18

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

We continue our study of Ephesians 3:18-21 These first two verses we’ve already covered.

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

We now conclude with these last two of Chapter 3—

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power [DUNAMIS = power (dynamite)] that worketh in us,

21 Unto him be glory in the church [EKKLESIA = assembly] [the Body of Christ church] by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end [an idiom meaning FOREVER]. Amen.

1st Question— What is this “power” (DUNAMIS) that works is us? Answer: The Word of God!

Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful [ENERGES = (energy) active], and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2nd Question— In v. 21 what is this “church” he speaks of? Answer: It is the church which is the Body of Christ.

I have numerous articles about this on our website– :

Church: Are we the New Testament Church today?

Church: Are we today the bride of Christ?

Church: Are we to sell our belongings and give away the proceeds?

Church: Did John 10:16 predict the church of today?

Church: Did ours today begin at the time of Acts 2?

Church: Did the church of today begin on the Day of Pentecost in 30 AD?

Church: Does Hebrews 10:25 say we must attend?

Church: What are the uses of this word in the Bible?

I hope you’ll go through each of these.
